Mykonos, Greece – In a bold move, the Greek island of Mykonos has announced a ban on “Instagram husbands.” The ban is aimed at curbing the nuisance caused by these men, who are known for following their wives around and taking excessive photos for social media.

According to the Department of Tourism, the behavior of Instagram husbands has been causing a disturbance to locals and other tourists on the island. Spokesman, Dimitrios Papadopoulos, stated: “We are glad to be taking this step to ban Instagram husbands from the island. Their constant photo-taking and nuisance behavior have been impacting the overall experience of other visitors and residents.” Papadopoulos went on to say that he hopes other countries will follow Mykonos’s lead and implement similar bans to preserve the authenticity and peace of their tourist destinations. However, the ban has not been met without opposition. An Instagram husband, who wished to remain anonymous, expressed his anger towards the restrictions.

“I am furious with these restrictions. I just love taking pictures of my wife so she can post them on Instagram. It’s our passion and a way for us to express ourselves,” he said. The ban is set to take effect immediately and will be enforced by local authorities. Those found violating the ban will face fines and potentially be banned from the island permanently.

Mykonos’s bold move is being met with mixed reactions from the public, with some supporting the ban and others criticizing it. Regardless, it remains to be seen what impact this ban will have on the island and the behavior of Instagram husbands globally.

Instagram husbands around the world are outraged by the measures taken. They feel like they are being targeted for all the wrong reasons. “I simply want the perfect shot, the perfect angle, and the perfect lighting. My wife has built up a huge following, and I take pride in helping her look her best. Mykonos was like a second home to us We feel like our Instagram husbands are completely misunderstood.
